Feed locusts a mixture of vegetables and insect food to pass on vitamins and minerals to the lizard. You can use leafy greens like broccoli, cabbage, or grass. You can also feed them commercially available cricket food.
Dust locusts with a calcium, vitamin, and mineral supplement once or twice a week. You can also use a calcium-only supplement for other feedings.
Locusts need a water source and can die from dehydration. You can use a shallow container with wet cotton wool or a bug gel.
Keep locusts at a temperature around 25–30°C
Locusts are slower moving than crickets, making them easier for lizards to catch and eat. There's also no danger of locusts biting back if there are too many for the lizard to eat.
Size Guide: Baby Locusts 25 Pack |
