Tissue Cultures are carefully propagated in a laboratory to ensure plant health. Tissue Cultures are grown in a closed container which means you can enjoy a pest free and disease free plant. The plant will grow in the container until all the nutrients within the agar / liquid is used. If you do not wish to plant right away, keep the container sealed and store in a cool place. Before planting, thoroughly wash off all agar / liquid from the plant. Once container is opened, plant immediately.
Cryptocoryne Wendtii Brown is an easy to grow aquarium plant, mostly used in the mid to background of an aquascape, the brown colour contrasting the other plants nicely. As with most crypts, C02 is not needed but will promote growth, Crypts and heavy root feeders so a nutrient rich substrate and / or use of root tab fertilisers is best.
All Cryptocornes are prone to 'Crypt melt' this is typical when first planting in a new aquarium or if water parameters change drastically, to help promote new growth use nutrient rich substrate or root tab fertilisers.
