Tissue Cultures are carefully propagated in a laboratory to ensure plant health. Tissue Cultures are grown in a closed container which means you can enjoy a pest free and disease free plant. The plant will grow in the container until all the nutrients within the agar / liquid is used. If you do not wish to plant right away, keep the container sealed and store in a cool place. Before planting, thoroughly wash off all agar / liquid from the plant. Once container is opened, plant immediately.
This beautiful variety with the dark, hammered leaves is named after 'Tropica'. When grown in an open space the leaves will virtually lie on the bottom. It is suitable for small aquariums with leaves from 10-20 cm, and a rosette from 10-20 cm wide. While this plant will adapt to grow in low light environments, Moderate to high lighting will enhance colouration and growth rate.
All Cryptocornes are prone to 'Crypt melt' this is typical when first planting in a new aquarium or if water parameters change drastically, to help promote new growth use nutrient rich substrate or root tab fertilisers.
Origin: Sri Lanka
Growth Rate: medium
Care: Easy
pH: 6 – 7.5
Temperature: 22 - 28° C
Height: 10 - 30cm
Lighting: Moderate - High
